A drive to create better, lighter products inspired him to start experimenting in his garage, engineering his own aluminum bicycles and components. As demand grew, partnerships began with the finest production facilities in Taiwan. This eventually led to our own factory with control over all aspects of production from prototype to manufacturing.

American Classic tires include premium fabrics and signature compounds engineered for long tread life and low rolling resistance. Mauka, the all-around trail or enduro tire, is where this tire excels. This all-condition tire climbs like a cross-country tire and descends like a trail tire. We've engineered a downcountry tire that rips up long climbs and provides grip and confidence on descents by combining a fast-rolling center tread with sturdy side lugs, and our lightweight Stage TR-L construction. This is topped off with our signature Rubberforce G tread compound for impressive grip in the off-road conditions.

The Mauka is available in a Tubeless Ready construction with black sidewalls. It features Tubeless Ready when used with liquid tubeless sealant, inner tube compatibility, and compatibility with traditional hookbead and hookless rims that meet ETRTO standards. The off-road specific Rubberforce G tread compounds and Stage TR-L Armor construction provide a lightweight tire ready for light trail and aggressive cross-country use.

The Mauka is available in a 29x2.4 (61-622) size, with a black color and a weight of 830g. The maximum pressure is 50 PSI, and it is compatible with internal rim widths of 21-40mm, with an optimal internal rim width of 30mm.
